We loved the location and the proximity to the town and beach. The room faced the pool and was charming. However, we did not expect to find the dining and pool areas full of school children on a residential trip. I think this could have been pointed out to us in advance as it made lounging by the pool anything but relaxing.

Excellent location, within comfortable walking distance to the centro. We arrived without a reservation, after leaving another very poor pousada in town. The staff at Pousada da Condessa was very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor lounging areas at this pousada are fantastic, very comfortable. And the food is wonderful!!!

Really loved it! Such a charming and welcoming hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms, crisp linens, and excellent breakfast! The hotel has beautiful gardens and pool area to sit and relax, and is within walking distance of the historic town. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value for money, this pousada has a nice swimming pool and lounge in the garden. Rooms are simple but effective. Everything is clean. We had a huge bed!|Very close to the city center, but far enough to get a good night sleep.
